Or you can build it from scratch. Very rarely are mini dollhouses built from scratch anymore. The level of complexity, the attention to detail, and the skill to carve out the multiple pieces in a dollhouse is a must. Building a mini dollhouse is not only about the house itself. Oftentimes, the most difficult piece of building a dollhouse is putting together the smaller pieces which go inside the house. The tiny tables and lamps are often times significantly more difficult that the house itself. Again, the pieces that go into the houses can be made from scratch or from kit. In fact, some of the dollhouse kits come with a certain number of accessories that go inside. Additionally, separate kits are available that specialize in the furnishings that go inside the house.
Creating miniature dollhouses is definitely one of the most complicated hobbies out there. Building a house takes much skill, thought and planning. In the long run, it is a very rewarding hobby to have.
