Learning to Set Craft Prices Is Not Easy

Crafting on a Budget suggests that we research what price others are asking for similar art, to determine the cost of your materials and your salary for your time.

To help you keep track of material used in your project, gather all the materials together that you will need to complete your project.  In a small notebook write down the cost of each article you will be using.  In this way you will know the cost of your craft project materials when you finish and won’t have to guess at the material you used.  You can track your time here also to give you an idea of the total cost of a particular craft project.
